THE HAGUE
JUNE 2025
While there is a world in fire in different places and in different ways we want to challenge you from around the world to pray with us during the two days of the NATO/NAVO top in The Hague.
The Hague is called the city of international city of peace and justice. Years ago Johan den Hartogh established JHOP — Justice House of Prayer, coming forth from the 24-7 Prayer International movement. So to coin a phrase JHOP for NTOP.
Drones are forbidden to fly over The Hague during the top. They seem to me to be a beautiful image for prayer: interacting with the world at a high level. And our Drones of Prayer are not just connected to the The Hague then, but also to The Heaven.
So, we want to call Christians from around the world to pray for The Hague in a volatile world. The key concept of Jesus: to give your life for your fellowman, to love, even to love your enemy is hardly being heard in the midst of the clashes of weapons. Ploughshares are being hammered into firy drones of fury. Amidst of the unease, unpeace, unrest we want to go to the King of Kings, and the Lord of Lords. Please pray with us from June 24th 00:00-24:00 June 25th (48 hours).
DRONE PRAYER
- Lift yourself up through thanksgiving, praise and worship. Psalm 50:23
- Shed tears over evil, sins, and breaking of covenants. Nehemiah 1:4
- Understand the carefreeness of birds and flowers. Matthew 6: 26-31
- God is not impressed with the nations. Psalm 2:4
- Pray as free and deep as you can. Romans 8:26-27
- See Jesus high and lifted up. Revelation 1:4-8
- Let Maranatha=Our Lord (has) come, rise in you. Revelation 22:1-4
Be an alone drone or connect with (many) others. Let songs accompany you in your prayers. As Augustine said: He who sings prays twice (‘Qui cantat, bis orat’).
PRAYER POINTS
- Pray for the four corners of the earth.
- Pray for the center of the world for you (your country, your Jerusalem, and Jerusalem).
- Pray for a revival in Europe.
- Pray for wisdom and strength, not in horses, but in God.
- Pray for the conversion away from evil, distrust, and any violation of God’s laws.
- Pray for real, deep and lasting peace.
- Pray for Europe to use peace in honor of the Kingdom of God; with at the heart the double love command of Jesus, including the perfection of love command (to love your enemy).
The Hague will host the NATO Summit in 2025. The summit will be held at the World Forum on 24 June and 25 June 2025. For 125 years The Hague has been the international city of peace and justice. This is why it was chosen to host the NATO Summit.
